Research-oriented learning helps the students develop specialized know-how and enhance their multidisciplinary competencies.
CMI Public School has been recognized by the BRITISH COUNCIL through the ISA (International School Award) awarded to CMI Public School in 2014. CMI Public School strives to build and train students to become smart, independent individuals who can respect others and their cultures, live and work in a changing world and can challenge the fast-growing global equations. In collaboration with The Royal Docks Community School, London, the students and teachers of both the schools do various projects, activities and also visit the each other.
To become internationally exposed and to view the world in a macro level, the students are given an opportunity to visit foreign countries especially the USA.
As educators, teachers are also backed up with visiting foreign countries to formulate new teaching strategies thus bringing in a global perspective towards education.
An integral part of all the studies, Seminars are prepared and presented from Class VI onwards. Children select topics they are interested in. After a competition, the selected presentations are compiled into a book named “Facets of the World around Us” which is released on the Annual day celebration.
As part of moulding students to be effective global citizens, students take part in various notice board competitions. When students’ work is displayed on the notice board, it gives them a sense of appreciation and accomplishment. Competitions are conducted category-wise, and the best notice boards are then awarded.
To generate effective critical thinking skills through tackling primary issues on a given topic, Debates are held every month from classes VI upwards.
Exhibition improves the creative idea of students and allows them to think beyond their textbooks. Eight exhibitions are being conducted in a year. The students exhibit their ideas either using charts, still models, working models, or PowerPoint presentations.
Quiz competition - Quiz Bowls for Students from grades I to XI are held every month. This is an entertaining and effective way to know the world around. It ensures an increase in students' concentration, builds confidence and helps retain information. Additionally, a bonanza champion is selected from the bumper questions round every month.
To make learning more research oriented and to give a three-dimensional view of the world we live in, Field trips are organized for classes I - XII
Learning should be thinking out of the box. The students of classes I - X prepare 5 to 8 projects in a year concerned to their curricular subjects.
